How to help your child feel seen, heard, and understood
Communication can be defined as a simple act of transferring information from one place, person or group to another, but why is something so easy so hard to do?
As a professional nanny and Mental health counselor intern, Alex Stewart often hears things like,
"I just wish my parents understood?"
"Why does it feel like I'm never going to be good enough for my mom or dad?"
Everyone wants to feel seen, heard and understood, but we, adults and children alike, lack the tools to do that effectively. Due to the advancement of social media, electronics have become the way our youth communicates. It's easier to mask behind a phone or social media instead of communicating effectively in person. In this 12-week counseling group, Communicating With Your Kids, Alex will give the tools and techniques to help parents and children better communicate with one another.
Group coming January 2020.
